Donations… We are much familiar with this word now. Everyone know the meaning and necessary of it. In my school times I thought it’s something like punishment for those who get poor marks and by that they get admission into some colleges. There are always conditions in every transaction and it’s also in donations. Someone wants to get an admission by donations. Someone wants popularity by donations and someone has interest in rumours. Though Some industrialists are doing a great job by helping the poor for their betterment. Those who have enough money for the donations are always usual but those who don’t have much money and source helping others ,are unusual. ‘Donation’ is a very formalist word for them. ‘Help’ is a very nice word to describe their lives.
I am talking about a great artist of Ahmadabad who was a simple and very kind-hearted man. He was an artist from C.N College of fine arts. His name is Mr. K.R. Yadav. He was a professor in C.N Fine Arts and my father was a student that time in between 1980’s. My father was aware about his style , simplicity, and the kind nature of Yadav sir. He came with his bicycle every day. He always cared about their students and Whenever he got his salary at the end of month, he used to write on the bulletin board that ‘If any student does not have money to pay the fee, he should come to me ! He paid fees for many students. Despite being a family-man, he lived like that. Sometimes missing a few bucks for his house expenses, he went to his artist friend to have some money. Though he used to talk with that friend about some other things, It was understandable for that artist and he used to give some rupees to Yadav sir. They know about each other’s condition, unconditionally. He was very much a tea lover and used to go to one tea stall on the opposite side of C.N. College. The tea seller knew about Yadav sir’s kind nature and was like a friend of his. He would never take rupees for tea from sir ? How that tea man would not even take money from him ! Because he used to understand him unconditionally. That great chain was key to throbbing the city. We hardly find these throbbing characters in cities now. Such characters who try to fill someone’s life by liveness are a form of blessings and may nature continue to shower such blessings.
Cities are not known for their cars running in the twinkling lights of the dark knight, but for such characters who illuminate in the darkness of the day.
Thank You So Much..
