The need of Sanctity in Worldly Life

Life is a gift from Nature. Life lives between the sunrise and sunset. I always feel that the east horizon tells to every human being that the life is yours but fulfil someone’s life with few needs. In Hinduism we can read that our life has four stages which are described as ‘Ashram’. Those are Brahmcharya, Grihastashram, Vanprassthashram and Sanyas Ashram. No one can deny these stages of life and our responsibilities during that time.

watercolour painting by me

A few weeks ago, I found one Video of young girl. She was nearly 16 years old and belonged to a very rich family. She is an only child of her parents.  I came to know that the girl decided to leave her worldly life to be ascetic. The girl gave a speech with tears in her eyes and relatives were too. I felt so much pain in her voice. To understand or feel something, she was going to sacrifice her whole Life. It was painful for me to watch that. A young age girl who could study more and gain knowledge. She could be a housewife or social worker to help others who are not able to do something. She could use those earnings of her father to help someone for an education and made her parents feel proud.. !!

Is Sacrifice of a worldly Life to become a monk or  hermit is the right way ?? Can anyone live a life with sanctity without being a monk ? I found many guys doing a great job for the societies and nature… They live for the society, do their jobs, protect nature and work as messengers for the humane Society.  So, may we call them Worldly Monks?? The question is which way is the right one.?

I think our life has very important stages and to stick with each phase is our responsibility. Those young energies has to do a lot for societies, Nature, Policies. Inventions etc. I am not thinking only for India but in the world that young generation has enough potential to have a change for a better society.

A madness of wander in Nature become better than inactivity within those four walls.

Thank you so much.

To have feelings of ultimate, there is no better place than nature.

Nature is a Sixth Sense…

Nature and human nature are both synchronised. When I go to any natural place I find myself in a silent conversation with wind first. Wind collide with my ears and I can hear some notations of nature. That feelings are invaluable and we can fill our nature with it. That divine sound tells the story of its presence.

Painting by me…

Earth is full of beauty wherever you go. Every country has the natural beauty that attract us.  Nature has its own abilities to understand our care, pronounce, love etc. The world is full of diversities with Languages, People, Nature and culture. Some have deep deserts where some countries have sounds of long rivers. Mountains with green forests are common in all countries and that’s the main source of Rivers and lakes. Which languages these Mountains and rivers understand.? I think Nature has the ability to hear us by the sixth sense. Nature can hear, see, tell us by the sixth sense. We also have that sixth sense in our life and it is Nature !! In India I know those many Natural places where a continuous conversation between nature and human nature. The monks in the cavity of Mountain Girnar and Himalayas converse with Nature by Mantras. Those Divine vibrations we can easily feel there. Those knowledgeable of Nature understand the moods of Nature.

When I went to a few countries I exchanged my money to local currency. It was very useful to me but not for the beautiful Nature that I saw. A tree or River has no use of those dollars or pounds. It needed a healthy conversation by caring, Loving and pronunciation of ‘vedic-mantras’. by  By the pronunciation of some mantras I felt those divine sounds that I always feel in my Country.

The circle of nature is always the same and we can feel it everywhere.

The stripped moments to achieve dreams…

Life is all about bringing needs and fulfil dreams.. Dreams that we see with open eyes. Todays we often find every other person who has not enough sleep to achieve their dreams. Someone is not being able to sleep due to stress or too much pending work. In my case, I can’t sleep early because of thinking about art, culture, writing etc. The most important thing is when we grow up and we apply that grown up ability in our daily life. Though needs are needs and we should achieve that. But by thinking about dreams with an open eyes are affects our sweet dreams of night. One night I was in a deep thinking about art. It was late at 2:AM and I couldn’t sleep for more than one hour. Suddenly, I sat on a swing, started swinging it and all the thoughts were stopped and I slept deeply in few minutes.

Painting by Navin Soni(Bhuj-India) , “The Night”

Many times we think too much about our business, future and we forget to live in the present. A little child who has nothing to think about anything. Children sleep in cradle in a few seconds and someone who is matured needs the whole night. Insomnia is now we found more in adults than never and because they don’t stop their mind in positive  thinking or negative. Young adults and teenagers suffering from insomnia due to depression and smartphones. It’s a really serious matter that those young guys not taking enough sleep due to negative thoughts or depression and by that they damage their physical health after some years. Taking a sleeping tablets are really harmful to our minds and we damaged our memory by that. Everyone who is suffering from insomnia should try a hammock or cradle which was our first connection of sleep!

Sometimes being a little child creates a great maturity for living a life.

The Plated Celebrations…

This is the festival of navratri. The longest festival. Every festival of any country reflects its art and culture. Art and culture defined by the people. In my opinion, Life is a longest festival.      We are eager to celebrate and struggle a bit between eagarness and celebrations.

Painting by Navin Soni(Bhuj)

A festival of Navratri is now very popular across the world. It’s a festival of nine nights. I thought about how this celebration has changed in modern times?? It was all about worship of our goddess and the feast of adoration. It was the festival of Garba. Some women met in the square near their homes. They did worship of our Goddess and played garba. Garba is an art of playing with rhythm in circularly(Perambulate). They sang together, clapped and create the ‘laya’. What would be an incredible sweetness on those sounds !! ? They never needed any heavy drums or speakers to play but the rhythm had been created by their claps, Garba sung by women and playing circularly were everything  together.!? The rhythm from their claps and sounds from their singing was wonderful to hear. It was a divine noise created to worship. Everyone naturally could get the rhythm in their play. The ultimate joy was also there.!

May this festival is a worship of our mother earth?? Who can know about this.?? Somebody has written that a Garba is a symbol of the universe. Is it the perambulate of the universe. !!

Now, the whole scenario has changed. This festival has taken a form of business. The loud speakers causing noise pollution. No worship and more drama to win competitions!?? By remembering those steps taught by dance masters they actually forget to dance naturally. Following those steps are not the worship or adoration. The joy of playing is better than following the steps.

Festivals came from a small celebrations to love, respect and have faith in God.Those festivals which were the identity of our culture is now hidden by the way of our celebrations.
Thank you so much.

Art is your Inner world…

Any Art is a subject of learning first. Any performer is first a learner than anything else. To learn something, one should have a large inner world. Many newcomers are not accepting those basic things from their mentors and they struggle a lot in future. An artist should be concerned about inner world than the outer world

Before few years, my father went to one painting exhibition in Mumbai. A big place and many well known artists came there for an inauguration. Some artists introduce my father to well known artists who has a big name in modern and contemporary art. During that time they had very healthy talk about abstract art and realism. From one of those artists criticised my father for his look.He told that Soniji, you don’t look like an artist with your simple formal dress and style. You should have some long beard, different hair style or dress like kurta-pajamas.?? He then pointed to a few artists who had some different hairstyles, different beard, some had ear rings. Look, every artist has some style for their looks. You don’t look different or Artist and you look like a layman !! My father politely answered that sir, here every artist has their special outlook where I am a simple man with only a formal wear..Am I look different from you all…??

Everything in art is an impression from your inner world. A look of any artist depends on his/her style of painting if they deeply involved in art…

A painting is an exterior look of any artist, they don’t need to paint themselves with different styles.
Thank you So much.

Painting of the earth…

When we wake up in the morning we find the lights coming into the room. We see different angles which are paintings of everyday. Lights are the main source to create a painting for artist and nature. Lights giving vision to an artist and and every element being visible. From the beginning of this world when lights started to land on earth, the beautiful painting had been created. Every morning sun always ready to give vision to the world and we can see those colours changing on ground with the different source of lights.

Painting By Navin Soni(Bhuj)

We can see horizontal lines on the sea and land because of the visual capacity of us but actually it’s the difference of those two elements.!? Nature never created lines, its’ invented by the humans. Every tree that firstly grown naturally and where it stopped growing, humans draw the lines!!

By the long vision we finds the reflections of the sky in every element and uncleared lines. This circular composition of nature remains forever. It’s always depends on the humans that how we keep a rhythm of that painting.

Thank you so much.

The worship of Nature

One day, I had a thought of tribal people who are living as nature in nature and protect it. Actually they love nature and so they can live there with less facilities and comfort. When we love someone we can live with them by less facilities. They do worship of nature’s five elements and understand the value of it.They never changed their living style who lives in nature. Nature has a profound effect on them and it seems to be an offshoot of nature. Though in some areas from last few decades, some had been addicted to alcohol and tobacco. Some organisations doing a very fine job for the tribal people to free from addiction.Government also has taken good initiatives for them to educate and turning them to basics and should do more about it.

painting by Navin R Soni (Bhuj)

Aside from the Tribal people, there are many people who live the same way. There are many people in the world who do not need any idol to worship. They worship the mountains and the river and wake up in the morning to worship the rising sun. Planting trees is worship to them. They do not expect an honour from the human society because they got a very special place and honour by nature.

The one who has found a place in the lap of nature does not need any other honour.

Thank you so much.

Nature of Religion and Religion of Nature….

What is religion and the motto of it.? Is it connected with any god or worship? Religion is a native of love and for me is everywhere on the earth. It had been in the beginning of humans on the earth. Protecting nature is religion and where humans are protected by nature is religion. A mother take care of her child is a religion.

Painting by Navin R Soni(Bhuj)

In today’s religion,There are many cults where people may find a place to have faith in God but, those are operating shops of superstitions.?!! there are divisions with different types and dress for identification. They are opposed to each other and some time fighting with each other too?!.we find a different opinions and traditions of denominations with the same religious community. Many times. They secretly fight between each other for getting more devotees.I never believe in fighting for the religion or denominations. I think. ‘It is not a religion for which to fight and if you fight so It’s not religion’. Religion never fought for its own rights. Now a days many orthodoxies claim to get assets which they think of their rights. They take legal actions against other cults to acquire lands and other things. They even forget that the natural place which they fight to get is a place of their lord’s penance. May the nature asked their lord for any proofs or details of his cast.?! Nature never asked for penance there of their original cast or native and now they fight for that land with the reference  and documents of their Lord. ??!!

Thank you so much.

Smoke of Economic growth…

Yesterday, I received one message from my friend about  economic growth. A CEO of Euro Bank Ltd. told something different about GDP and economic health. He said that cyclist is a disaster for the country’s economy… !! He does not buy car, no loan for that,no insurance, no fuel, no need of servicing and repairs, no parking fees.? Though they are healthy but they are not helpful to boost economic health of the country.. !!  I have a different mindset for that because a cyclist has good health, reduce air pollution and noise pollution, less expensive, without fuel, no extra services, more uses of public transports for far destinations. Though I am not used to go with cycle but I should do that first.. !

painting by me.

Few countries in Europe are very famous for the cyclists. Netherlands is most favourite in the list. Many other countries are following and they prevent nature by maintaining those non-economic factors really well. They have enough natural resources with purity. I think GDP  or economic growth should not be calculated by unnecessary expenses but by the healthy growth of nature. In future, this non economic growth will be more important when less availability of pure natural resources. Many developing countries are struggling to provide enough basic needs  to their citizens and they need more concern to get a clean water, pure air, good food, etc.

Our Life is based more with those non economic relations than purchasing power of us and it will remain like that always..

Thank you so much.

A hidden horizon and calculated sky..

This is the 21st century. The global world is now connected online.Everything is now easily available at your doorstep. Only calmness is not available online, but we need to earn it.

Recently, I went to Mumbai which is a financial capital of India. Mumbai is called the city of dreams and everyday so many people come to achieve their dreams. From the last ten years, I have been observing this city very deeply and now I can read that struggle on the faces. It was said that Mumbai a ‘Running-city’, but now we can feel that it’s short of breath..!?

I had been there in the market area which was very crowded and lots of noise of traffic. Everyone was in a hurry and I could not see the way where we gone through..  I could see the tall buildings in making and couldn’t see the sky behind that !! I found a hidden horizons by that vertical World. After that tiring day, the night was really peaceful.  I went to the seashore and by seeing those horizons I find myself very relaxed. I think that tall buildings are good to see with an excitement but we can see that for a while and we should put down our eyes. where horizons are always gives calmness to us and one can see or feel continuously for a long time.

Cities should not be known for the tall buildings but from the locations like lakes, greenbelt, gardens, seashores etc. Thank you so much
